- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced (optional)
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 6–8 slices provolone cheese
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Prepare the Steak:
- Season the sliced steak with a pinch of salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add steak to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned.
- Remove steak from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Vegetables:
- In the same skillet, add butter, onions, and bell peppers.
- Sauté for 4-5 minutes until softened.
- Add mushrooms (if using) and cook until tender.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

- Return the steak to the skillet with the vegetables.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, and mix well.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes to heat through and blend flavors.

Add the Cheese:
- Reduce heat to low.
- Lay provolone cheese slices evenly over the steak and vegetables.
- Cover with a lid for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.

- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
- Serve hot as is or with rolls for a classic Philly cheesesteak experience.
