Description
Pepperoni Chicken is a cheesy, low-carb dinner dish where tender chicken breasts are topped with marinara sauce, melty mozzarella, and spicy pepperoni slices for a pizza-inspired twist.

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 20–24 slices pepperoni
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil and sear chicken on both sides until golden, about 2–3 minutes per side. Transfer to the baking dish.
- Spoon marinara sauce over each chicken breast.
- Top with shredded mozzarella and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
- Place 5–6 slices of pepperoni on top of each piece of chicken and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C).
- Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Use turkey pepperoni for a lighter version.
- Serve with a side salad or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
- Leftovers reheat well and are great for meal prep.
