These Peppermint Oreo Cookies combine the chocolatey goodness of Oreos with the refreshing flavor of peppermint. With a soft cookie base, crushed Oreos, and a hint of peppermint extract, these cookies are festive and perfect for holiday gatherings or any time you crave a delightful treat.

- 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (100 g) brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp peppermint extract
- 1 1/2 cups (190 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 10 Oreos, crushed
- 1/2 cup (90 g) white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven
- Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
- Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
2. Make the cookie dough
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.
- Beat in the egg and peppermint extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
3. Add the mix-ins
- Gently fold in the crushed Oreos, white chocolate chips, and crushed peppermint candies.
4. Shape the cookies
- Scoop the dough into balls (about 1.5 tablespoons each) and place them on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
5. Bake
- Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft.
- Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
6. Serve
- Enjoy these cookies as they are, or with a cup of hot cocoa or coffee for a festive treat!

- Crushing the Peppermint: Place peppermint candies or candy canes in a plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin for even pieces.
