For the Pie Crust:

- 1 9-inch pie crust, unbaked
For the Filling:
- 1 cup light corn syrup (or dark corn syrup for a deeper flavor)
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prep the Crust
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie dish. Crimp the edges and set aside.
Step 2: Make the Filling
- In a large bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- Stir in pecan halves.
Step 3: Assemble & Bake
- Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until the center is set and slightly jiggles when shaken.
- Let the pie cool for 2 hours before slicing.
Notes
- For extra crunch, toast the pecans at 350°F for 5 minutes before adding to the filling.
- Make ahead: Pecan pie can be made 1 day in advance and stored at room temperature or in the fridge.
- Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for the ultimate treat!
