Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (17.5 oz) peanut butter cookie mix
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup chopped peanuts (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the peanut butter cookie mix, melted butter, and egg. Mix until well combined.
  • Press the cookie mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form the crust.
  • In a separate bowl, stir together the sweetened condensed milk and creamy peanut butter until smooth.
  • Pour the peanut butter mixture over the cookie crust, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  • Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the peanut butter layer.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool completely in the pan. If desired, sprinkle chopped peanuts on top once cooled.
  • Cut into bars and serve. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra indulgence, drizzle melted chocolate or a layer of melted peanut butter over the bars once they’ve cooled.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
  • If you prefer a richer chocolate layer, increase the amount of chocolate chips to 1 1/2 cups.
