Description

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup strawberry or raspberry jam (red)
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar (for cream filling)
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries (blue)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp coarse sugar or sprinkles (optional, for decoration)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 °F (200 °C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut puff pastry into 6 equal rectangles. Place on baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, vanilla, powdered sugar, and salt until smooth.
  4. Spread a thin layer of jam on half of each rectangle, leaving a small border.
  5. Add a dollop of cream cheese mixture on top of the jam.
  6. Top with a few fresh blueberries, then fold pastry in half (seal edges) and crimp with fork.
  7. Whisk egg with water, brush over pastries. Sprinkle coarse sugar if using.
  8. Bake 15–18 minutes until puffed and golden-brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving to allow filling to set.

  • Seal edges well to prevent leaks.
  • Jam choice: raspberry or strawberry work best for vibrant red.
