Ingredients
-
1 box white cake mix (15.25 oz)
-
2 large eggs
-
1/3 cup vegetable oil
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
-
1/2 cup red, white, and blue sprinkles
-
1/2 cup red and blue M&M’s or similar candy-coated chocolates
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until a dough forms.
-
Gently fold in the sprinkles and M&M’s.
-
Scoop out tablespoon-sized balls of dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.
-
Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers look slightly underbaked.
-
Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
-
You can swap in a vanilla or yellow cake mix if you don’t have white.
-
Add extra M&M’s on top of each dough ball before baking for a more festive look.
-
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
