- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Parmesan garlic sauce:
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups (480 ml) whole milk
- 1 cup (100 g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Additional layers:
- 12 lasagna noodles, cooked according to package instructions
- 2 cups (200 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup (50 g) ricotta cheese (optional)
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the meat layer:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, and smoked paprika to the skillet. Cook until the onion is soft.
- Stir in the crumbled bacon, season with salt and pepper, and set aside.
- Make the Parmesan garlic sauce:
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
- Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until the mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Season with salt and pepper.
- Assemble the lasagna:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread a thin layer of the Parmesan garlic sauce at the bottom of the dish.
- Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce. Top with a third of the meat mixture, a drizzle of Parmesan garlic sauce, and a sprinkle of mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
- Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a generous layer of cheese on top.
- Bake the lasagna:
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Serve:
- Let the lasagna cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add sliced pickles between the layers to mimic a cheeseburger.
- You can prepare the lasagna in advance and refrigerate it; just increase the baking time by 10 minutes if baking from cold.
