Description

This oven baked tilapia is a simple, healthy dinner that’s full of flavor and ready in just 20 minutes. With a light seasoning and a splash of lemon, the fish turns out tender, flaky, and perfect every time. Great for busy weeknights or a quick, no-fuss lunch!

Ingredients

  • 4 tilapia fillets (fresh or thawed if frozen)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

  • Lemon slices and fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease or line a baking dish with parchment paper.

  2. Prepare the seasoning: In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.

  3. Season the fish: Pat the tilapia fillets dry and place them in the baking dish. Brush the seasoned oil mixture evenly over each fillet.

  4. Add lemon: Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top, then lay a few lemon slices on or around the fish.

  5. Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is opaque all the way through.

  6. Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Don’t overcook! Tilapia cooks fast—check around 12 minutes.

  • Great served with rice, roasted veggies, or a fresh salad.

  • Add a pinch of crushed red pepper for a little heat.
