Description

Easy and delicious oven-baked potatoes wrapped in foil for tender, fluffy insides and crisp skins, perfect as a side dish for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary or thyme (optional)
  • Butter, sour cream, chives, or toppings of choice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Scrub the potatoes thoroughly and pat them dry with a towel.
  3. Prick each potato a few times with a fork.
  4. Rub each potato with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
  5. Wrap each potato tightly in aluminum foil.
  6. Place the foil-wrapped potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until a fork easily pierces through the potato.
  8. Carefully remove from oven and let rest for a few minutes before unwrapping.
  9. Serve with your favorite toppings such as butter, sour cream, shredded cheese, or chives.
