For the Crust:

  • 24 Oreo cookies, crushed into fine crumbs
  • 6 tbsp (85g) unsalted butter, melted

For the Filling:

  • 2 cups (480ml) chocolate ice cream, softened
  • 1 box (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 3/4 cups (420ml) cold milk
  • 1/2 cup (125g) hot fudge sauce, warmed
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup (30g) powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For Topping:

  • 1/2 cup (75g) crushed Oreos (for garnish)
  • Chocolate shavings or additional hot fudge sauce (optional)

Instructions

  • Make the Crust:
    • In a bowl, mix the Oreo crumbs with melted butter until well combined.
    • Press the mixture evenly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish.
    • Place in the freezer for 15 minutes to set.
  • Add the Ice Cream Layer:
    • Spread the softened chocolate ice cream over the chilled Oreo crust, smoothing it with a spatula.
    • Freeze for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  • Make the Chocolate Pudding Layer:
    • In a medium bowl, whisk the chocolate pudding mix with cold milk for 2 minutes until thickened.
    • Spread the pudding evenly over the ice cream layer and return to the freezer for another 15-20 minutes.
  • Add the Whipped Topping:
    • In a large bowl, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
    • Spread the whipped cream over the pudding layer, covering it completely.
  • Garnish:
    • Sprinkle crushed Oreos over the top and add chocolate shavings or drizzle hot fudge sauce for an extra touch.
  • Chill and Serve:
    • Chill in the freezer for at least 2 hours or until set.
    • Let the pie sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with additional fudge sauce, if desired.

Notes

  • Make it easier: Use store-bought whipped topping instead of making it from scratch.
  • Storage: Store leftover pie in the freezer, covered, for up to 1 week.
  • Add flavors: For a twist, use coffee ice cream or peanut butter ice cream.
