Description

These Oreo Mint Chocolate Truffles are a decadent no-bake treat, perfect for parties or gifting. Crushed mint Oreos are blended with cream cheese, coated in smooth chocolate, and topped with crushed candy or sprinkles for a festive finish. Easy to make and irresistibly delicious!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 package (15.25 oz) mint-flavored Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 12 oz semisweet or dark chocolate, melted
  • 4 oz white chocolate, melted (optional, for drizzling)
  • Crushed candy canes, sprinkles, or chopped mint candies (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Oreo Mixture:
    • Place the Oreos in a food processor and pulse until finely crushed. Reserve 1-2 tablespoons of crumbs for garnish, if desired.
    • Add the softened cream cheese to the food processor and blend until the mixture forms a smooth, sticky dough.
  2. Shape the Truffles:
    • Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
    • Refrigerate the balls for 30 minutes to firm up.
  3. Coat the Truffles:
    • Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each chilled truffle into the melted semisweet or dark chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. Let excess chocolate drip off before placing it back onto the parchment-lined sheet.
    • Drizzle with melted white chocolate, if using, or garnish with reserved Oreo crumbs, crushed candy canes, or sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet.
  4. Set the Truffles:
    • Let the truffles sit at room temperature or refrigerate until the chocolate coating is fully set.
  5. Serve:
    • Transfer the truffles to a serving dish or store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Truffles can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or frozen for up to 2 months.
  • Use a toothpick to make dipping easier, or tap the fork gently on the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate.
