Description

Christmas Oreo Balls are a fun, festive, and easy dessert! With a creamy Oreo center, a chocolate coating, and holiday-themed decorations, they’re a perfect addition to cookie trays or as homemade gifts.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 36 Oreo cookies, crushed into fine crumbs
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 10 oz dark chocolate melting wafers
  • 10 oz white chocolate melting wafers (optional for variation)
  • Christmas sprinkles or red and green candy melts for decoration

Instructions

  • Prepare Oreo Mixture: Add Oreos to a food processor and pulse until they form fine crumbs. Add softened cream cheese and blend until smooth.
  • Shape the Balls: Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll into a ball with your hands. Place each ball on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Chill: Refrigerate or freeze the balls for about 30 minutes until they are firm.
  • Coat with Chocolate: Melt the chocolate wafers in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth. Dip each chilled Oreo ball in the melted chocolate, using a fork to let excess chocolate drip off.
  • Decorate: Immediately add sprinkles or drizzle with colored candy melts. Allow them to set on the baking sheet until the chocolate is firm.
  • Chill and Serve: Refrigerate for an additional 10-15 minutes until fully set.

Notes

Keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks, or freeze for up to two months. Best enjoyed chilled.
