- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats
- Optional: 1 cup chocolate chips or raisins
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in oats and optional chocolate chips or raisins.
- Spread the dough evenly in the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool completely in the pan before slicing into bars.
Notes
- For a gluten-free version, use certified gluten-free oats and a 1:1 gluten-free flour blend.
- Customize with nuts, dried fruits, or different chocolate varieties.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
