Description

Nutella French Toast Roll-Ups are a fun and indulgent breakfast or brunch treat, made by rolling Nutella into slices of bread, dipping them in egg mixture, and cooking them like French toast until golden and crisp.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 8 slices sandwich bread, crusts removed
  • 1/2 cup Nutella
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Flatten each bread slice with a rolling pin.
  2. Spread about 1 tablespoon of Nutella on one end of each slice, then roll tightly.
  3. In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla.
  4. In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Dip each roll-up in the egg mixture, then cook seam-side down until golden brown on all sides, about 2–3 minutes per side.
  6. Immediately roll in cinnamon sugar while warm.
  7. Serve warm, optionally with fresh fruit or maple syrup.

Notes

  • Use other spreads like peanut butter or fruit jam for variation.
  • Best served fresh, but can be reheated in the oven or air fryer.
  • Top with powdered sugar for extra sweetness.
