Description

Monte Cristo Sliders are a mini version of the classic sandwich, featuring layers of ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese on sweet rolls, baked with a buttery glaze and dusted with powdered sugar for a sweet and savory bite.


Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 6 slices deli ham
  • 6 slices deli turkey
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
  • Raspberry jam, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Slice the entire sheet of rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected. Place the bottom half in the baking dish.
  3. Layer ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese evenly over the rolls. Place the top half of the rolls on top.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Dijon mustard, honey, and garlic powder. Brush mixture over the tops of the rolls.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 5–7 minutes until tops are golden brown and cheese is melted.
  6. Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar. Slice into individual sliders and serve with raspberry jam if desired.

Notes

  • Use thick-sliced deli meat for a heartier slider.
  • Great for brunches, parties, or holiday leftovers.
  • Raspberry jam adds a traditional Monte Cristo flavor balance.
