Description
Monte Cristo Sliders are a mini version of the classic sandwich, featuring layers of ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese on sweet rolls, baked with a buttery glaze and dusted with powdered sugar for a sweet and savory bite.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 6 slices deli ham
- 6 slices deli turkey
- 6 slices Swiss cheese
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
- Raspberry jam, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Slice the entire sheet of rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected. Place the bottom half in the baking dish.
- Layer ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese evenly over the rolls. Place the top half of the rolls on top.
- In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Dijon mustard, honey, and garlic powder. Brush mixture over the tops of the rolls.
- Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 5–7 minutes until tops are golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar. Slice into individual sliders and serve with raspberry jam if desired.
Notes
- Use thick-sliced deli meat for a heartier slider.
- Great for brunches, parties, or holiday leftovers.
- Raspberry jam adds a traditional Monte Cristo flavor balance.
