Description

This Mississippi Sin Quiche combines the flavors of the famous dip with a rich and savory quiche. It features a creamy filling of ham, cheddar, cream cheese, and green onions baked in a buttery pie crust. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even dinner, this dish is comfort food at its best!

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 pre-made pie crust (or homemade crust if preferred)

For the Filling:

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup cooked ham, diced
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish, crimping the edges as desired. Prick the bottom with a fork and blind bake for 10 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Filling:
    • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, sour cream, and softened cream cheese until smooth.
    • Stir in the diced ham, shredded cheddar, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Assemble the Quiche:
    • Pour the filling into the pre-baked crust, spreading it evenly.
  4. Bake the Quiche:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is set and a knife inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  5. Cool and Serve:
    • Let the quiche cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Add diced jalapeños for a spicy kick or substitute ham with cooked bacon or sausage.
  • For a crustless version, skip the pie crust and bake the filling in a greased pie dish.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
