Description

These Mini Tiramisu Desserts are creamy, coffee-infused treats served in small cups or jars. They’re made with layers of espresso-soaked ladyfingers and a smooth mascarpone filling, making them the perfect make-ahead dessert for parties or special occasions!

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Coffee Mixture:

  • 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso, cooled
  • 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur (optional, e.g., Kahlúa)
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

For the Mascarpone Filling:

  • 8 oz (226g) mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Layers:

  • 1012 ladyfingers (Savoiardi biscuits), broken in half
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting
  • Dark chocolate shavings (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Coffee Mixture

  1. In a small bowl, mix coffee, sugar, and coffee liqueur (if using).
  2. Let cool completely before using.

Step 2: Make the Mascarpone Filling

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat mascarpone cheese until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone until smooth and fluffy.

Step 3: Assemble the Mini Tiramisu

  1. Lightly dip ladyfingers into the coffee mixture (don’t soak too long, or they’ll get soggy).
  2. Place a piece of soaked ladyfinger at the bottom of each mini cup or jar.
  3. Pipe or spoon a layer of mascarpone filling on top.
  4. Repeat layers until the jar is full, finishing with mascarpone on top.

Step 4: Chill & Serve

  1. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight for the best flavor).
  2. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate shavings.

Notes

  • Make-Ahead: Best made a day ahead for the best flavor and texture.
  • No Ladyfingers? Use sponge cake or graham crackers as an alternative.
  • Alcohol-Free Version: Simply omit the coffee liqueur.
