- 1–2 tablespoons chopped cilantro (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
1️⃣ Melt the cheese:
- In a saucepan over low heat, add the cheese, milk, and butter (if using).
- Stir constantly until the cheese begins to melt.
2️⃣ Add seasoning & spice:
- Stir in the diced jalapeño, green chilies, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and salt.
- Keep stirring until smooth and creamy.
3️⃣ Adjust consistency:
- If the dip is too thick, add more milk, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired texture.

4️⃣ Serve & enjoy:
- Remove from heat and transfer to a serving bowl.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve immediately with tortilla chips!
Notes
📌 Extra smooth dip? Blend with an immersion blender or whisk vigorously before serving.
🌶 Spicier? Add a dash of hot sauce or use serrano peppers instead of jalapeños.
🧄 More flavor? Sauté the jalapeños in butter before adding to the dip.
🥑 Tex-Mex twist: Stir in diced tomatoes or avocado just before serving.
