Description

The Mermaid Freakshake is a dreamy, colorful milkshake loaded with candy, sprinkles, whipped cream, and shimmering decorations. This over-the-top dessert drink is a sweet, magical experience that’s perfect for mermaid parties or a special treat for any sea-loving sweet tooth!

Ingredients

For the milkshake:

  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream

  • 1/2 cup milk (add more for thinner consistency)

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2-3 drops teal or aqua food coloring

For decorating the glass:

  • 1/4 cup frosting or melted white chocolate (to rim the glass)

  • Sprinkles or colored sugar

  • Cotton candy (optional for garnish)

Toppings:

  • Whipped cream

  • Rock candy sticks

  • Mermaid tail topper (candy melt or plastic)

  • Gummy sea creatures (like fish or starfish)

  • Edible glitter or shimmer spray

  • Colorful lollipops or marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Decorate the glass: Spread frosting or melted white chocolate around the rim of a large milkshake glass. Roll in sprinkles or colored sugar. Set aside.

  2. Make the milkshake: In a blender, combine vanilla ice cream, milk, vanilla extract, and teal food coloring. Blend until smooth and creamy.

  3. Pour into decorated glass.

  4. Top generously with whipped cream, candy, and mermaid-themed toppings.

  5. Finish with sparkle: Add edible glitter, shimmer dust, or a fun paper straw. Serve immediately!

Notes

  • Use gel food coloring for vibrant color without thinning the shake.

  • You can also swirl pink or purple syrup into the glass for extra mermaid vibes.

  • This recipe makes one large freakshake—double or triple for sharing!
