Description

Marinated Salmon with Garlic and Herbs is a flavorful and healthy main dish featuring fresh salmon fillets soaked in a zesty garlic-herb marinade, then baked or grilled to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, parsley, dill, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish or zip-top bag and pour marinade over them. Ensure all pieces are well coated.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, up to 2 hours for stronger flavor.
  4. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Remove salmon from marinade and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or on the grill.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or grill for 4-5 minutes per side, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Serve hot with lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • Don’t marinate the salmon too long to avoid mushy texture.
  • Fresh herbs provide the best flavor but dried can be used in a pinch.
  • Can be cooked in an air fryer or stovetop skillet as well.
  • Pairs well with rice, roasted veggies, or a fresh salad.
