Description
Margarita Grilled Shrimp Skewers are a zesty and refreshing seafood dish marinated in tequila, lime, and orange juice, then grilled to perfection. Great for summer cookouts or taco nights.

- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup lime juice (about 2 limes)
- 2 tablespoons orange juice
- 2 tablespoons tequila
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Wooden or metal skewers
- Lime wedges and chopped cilantro, for serving
Instructions
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes.
- In a bowl, whisk together lime juice, orange juice, tequila, olive oil, garlic, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add shrimp to the marinade and refrigerate for 20–30 minutes.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Thread shrimp onto skewers.
- Grill shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque.
- Remove from grill and serve with lime wedges and chopped cilantro.
Notes
- Do not over-marinate the shrimp or they may become tough.
- Can be cooked on a grill pan or broiled in the oven if needed.
- Serve with rice, tortillas, or over a salad for a full meal.
