Description

This Malteser Cheesecake is an indulgent, no-bake dessert featuring a buttery biscuit base, a creamy malted milk cheesecake filling, and a Malteser-studded chocolate topping. Perfect for any chocolate lover!

  • 200g (7 oz) digestive biscuits (or graham crackers)
  • 100g (1/2 cup) unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 tablespoons malted milk powder (like Horlicks, optional for extra flavor)

For the Cheesecake Filling:

  • 300g (10 oz) cream cheese (softened)
  • 250ml (1 cup) heavy cream (cold)
  • 100g (1/2 cup) powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons malted milk powder (like Horlicks or Ovaltine)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 100g (3.5 oz) Maltesers (crushed, for texture)

For the Chocolate Topping:

  • 150g (5 oz) milk chocolate (melted)
  • 50ml (1/4 cup) heavy cream (warm, for smoothness)
  • 100g (3.5 oz) whole Maltesers (for decoration)



Instructions

1. Make the Biscuit Base

  1. Crush the biscuits into fine crumbs using a food processor or a rolling pin.
  2. Mix with melted butter and malted milk powder, then press into a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes to set.

2. Prepare the Cheesecake Filling

  1. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, malted milk powder, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream to soft peaks, then fold into the cheesecake mixture.
  3. Stir in crushed Maltesers for extra crunch.
  4. Spread the filling evenly over the chilled biscuit base.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to firm up.

3. Make the Chocolate Topping

  1. Melt milk chocolate and mix in warm heavy cream for a glossy topping.
  2. Pour over the cheesecake and spread evenly.

4. Decorate & Serve

  1. Arrange whole Maltesers on top.
  2. Chill for 30 minutes before slicing.
