- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (for dredging)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
- Lemon slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then dredge lightly in flour, shaking off excess.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and butter.
- Add the chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
- Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly reduced. Stir in lemon zest.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for 2-3 minutes, spooning sauce over the top.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon slices before serving.

- Pound chicken to even thickness for uniform cooking.
