- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (for dredging)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
- Lemon slices (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Lightly dredge in flour, shaking off the excess.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chicken and cook 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Add remaining butter to the pan along with garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3–5 minutes to reduce slightly.
- Return chicken to the pan and simmer for 2–3 more minutes, spooning sauce over the top.
- Garnish with parsley and lemon slices if desired. Serve hot with rice, pasta, or vegetables.
