Description

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • For the glaze:
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs, lemon juice, and lemon zest until fully combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
  9. For the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar, lemon juice, and zest until smooth, then spread over the cooled brownies.
  10. Allow glaze to set before slicing into squares and serving.

  • Adjust the amount of lemon juice in the glaze to control tartness.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
