Description
A colorful and fun twist on classic Rice Krispie treats, made with layers of different colored Peeps marshmallows to create a vibrant, festive dessert perfect for spring or Easter.

- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal per layer (12 cups total for 3 layers)
- 3 packages (3 oz each) Peeps marshmallow chicks in different colors (e.g., pink, yellow, blue)
- Cooking spray or parchment paper (for pan)
Instructions
- Lightly grease a 9×9-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add one package of Peeps and stir until melted and smooth.
- Stir in 4 cups of Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated. Press mixture into the bottom of the prepared dish using a spatula or wax paper.
- Repeat the process with the second color of Peeps and another tablespoon of butter. Once mixed, layer it evenly on top of the first layer.
- Repeat again with the third color and final tablespoon of butter, layering it on top of the second.
- Allow treats to cool completely, then cut into squares and serve.
Notes
- Press each layer firmly to ensure they stick together well.
- Use different shaped Peeps or seasonal marshmallows for themed variations.
- Do not overheat the Peeps to prevent hardening the treats.
