- 4 croissants, sliced in half
- 4 large eggs
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 8 slices cooked bacon
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup and Dijon mustard to make the sauce. Set aside.
- In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, melt butter.
- Crack the eggs into the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook to your desired doneness (sunny-side up, over easy, or scrambled).
- While the eggs are cooking, lightly toast the croissants if desired.
- Spread the maple mustard sauce onto the bottom halves of the croissants.
- Layer each with a slice of cheese, two slices of bacon, and one cooked egg.
- Top with the other half of the croissant and serve warm.
