July Rice Krispie Treats are festive red, white, and blue marshmallow squares perfect for celebrating Independence Day with a fun and patriotic twist on the classic treat.

- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 package (10 oz) mini marshmallows
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- Red and blue food coloring
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- Red, white, and blue sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract if using.
- Divide the melted marshmallow mixture evenly into three bowls.
- Add red food coloring to one bowl, blue to another, and leave one plain (white). Stir each until well combined.
- Divide the Rice Krispies cereal evenly into three portions and mix each portion into the colored marshmallow bowls.
- Press the red mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch pan, then layer with the white mixture, and finally the blue mixture on top. Press gently to compact.
- Top with patriotic sprinkles if desired.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Use parchment paper or a greased spatula to press layers evenly.
- Add more or less food coloring to adjust vibrancy.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
