- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup red, white, and blue sprinkles (plus extra for topping)
- Frosting for decorating (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9-inch round cake pan or line with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
- Fold in white chocolate chips and sprinkles.
- Press dough evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes or until edges are golden and center is set. Do not overbake.
- Allow to cool completely in the pan before decorating with frosting and additional sprinkles.
Notes
- Use gel food coloring in frosting to match the patriotic theme.
- For easy removal, use a springform pan or line the pan with parchment.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
