Description

These Italian Pinwheels are the perfect party appetizer or quick lunch! Made with soft tortillas, layers of savory Italian meats, cheese, and a flavorful cream cheese spread, these easy roll-ups are packed with bold flavors and can be made ahead for any occasion.

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Pinwheels:

  • 4 large flour tortillas (burrito size)
  • 8 slices Genoa salami
  • 8 slices pepperoni
  • 8 slices ham or prosciutto
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup roasted red peppers, drained and chopped
  • 1/2 cup baby spinach or arugula

For the Cream Cheese Spread:

  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Cream Cheese Spread

  1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and Parmesan until smooth.

Step 2: Assemble the Pinwheels

  1. Spread a thin, even layer of the cream cheese mixture over each tortilla.
  2. Layer provolone cheese, followed by salami, pepperoni, and ham.
  3. Sprinkle with roasted red peppers and add a few baby spinach leaves.

Step 3: Roll & Chill

  1. Tightly roll each tortilla into a log, making sure everything stays in place.
  2. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour (this helps them hold their shape).

Step 4: Slice & Serve

  1. Unwrap and cut into 1-inch slices using a sharp knife.
  2. Arrange on a platter and serve immediately, or keep chilled until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Make-Ahead Tip: Store in the fridge for up to 24 hours before slicing.
  • Low-Carb Option: Use low-carb tortillas or wrap in lettuce leaves instead.
  • Extra Flavor: Add banana peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, or pesto for a twist.
  • Serving Idea: Serve with marinara sauce or Italian dressing for dipping!
