Ingredients
Scale
1 box (15.25 oz) yellow or white cake mix
2 cans (21 oz each) pie filling (choose any flavor: cherry, peach, blueberry, or apple)
1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Add the Fruit Filling:
Pour both cans of pie filling into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly across the bottom.
Add the Cake Mix:
Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the fruit filling, making sure to cover it completely.
Top with Melted Butter:
Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix. Use a spoon to spread the butter if needed, so it covers as much of the cake mix as possible.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
Serve:
Let cool slightly, then serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
Notes
Make it extra buttery: Add a few extra pats of butter on top of the cake mix for a richer flavor.
Mix flavors: Try using a chocolate cake mix with cherry filling for a Black Forest-inspired cobbler.
Storage: Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
