These Hot Italian Sub Sliders are packed with layers of melty cheese, savory deli meats, and zesty Italian flavors, all nestled in soft Hawaiian rolls and baked to golden perfection. Perfect for game days, parties, or an easy family meal!

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Sliders:

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls (or slider buns)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Italian dressing
  • 6 slices salami
  • 6 slices pepperoni
  • 6 slices ham (or turkey)
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup roasted red peppers, drained and sliced
  • 1/2 cup banana peppers, drained
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning

For the Garlic Butter Topping:

  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  2. Prepare the Rolls: Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected. Place the bottom half in the baking dish.
  3. Spread the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and Italian dressing. Spread evenly over the bottom half of the rolls.
  4. Layer the Fillings:
    • Place a layer of salami, followed by pepperoni, ham, and provolone cheese.
    • Add roasted red peppers and banana peppers for extra flavor.
    • Sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
  5. Top and Butter: Place the top half of the rolls over the filling. In another small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan cheese. Brush generously over the rolls.
  6. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 5-7 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and cheese is melted.
  7. Serve: Let cool for a minute, then slice and serve warm!

Notes

  • Spicy Kick: Add crushed red pepper flakes or hot giardiniera for more heat.
  • Cheese Options: Swap provolone for mozzarella or Swiss for a different twist.
  • Make Ahead: Assemble sliders ahead of time, cover with foil, and refrigerate until ready to bake.
