- 3 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 3 cups Corn Chex cereal
- 2 cups pretzels
- 1 cup roasted peanuts (or cashews)
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot or Sriracha)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice level)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Set oven to 300°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the Chex cereal, pretzels, and peanuts.
- Make the hot honey glaze: In a small saucepan over low heat, whisk together melted butter, honey, hot sauce, smoked paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, and salt until well combined.
- Coat the mix: Pour the hot honey glaze over the dry ingredients and gently toss to coat everything evenly.
- Bake: Spread the mixture in an even layer on the baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Cool and serve: Let the mix cool completely before serving—it will crisp up as it cools.
Notes
- Want it extra spicy? Add more cayenne or drizzle with extra hot honey after baking.
- Make it smoky-sweet by adding a teaspoon of chipotle powder instead of cayenne.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week!
