  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional, for extra fudginess)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie pan or an 8×8-inch baking dish.

  2. Prepare the Batter:
    In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add the flour, cocoa powder, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until well combined. Fold in chocolate chips if using.

  3. Bake the Pie:
    Pour the batter into the prepared pie pan or baking dish. Smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is still slightly gooey (a toothpick inserted should come out with moist crumbs).
