Description

Hot Fudge Brownie Bread is a rich, chocolatey treat that combines the dense, fudgy texture of brownies with the ease of a loaf bread. This indulgent dessert is perfect for chocolate lovers, featuring a gooey center and topped with a drizzle of hot fudge. Serve it warm for a decadent dessert or as a sweet snack with a scoop of ice cream.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 cup hot fudge sauce, plus more for drizzling

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and line it with parchment paper, leaving a bit of overhang for easy removal.
  • Mix wet ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  • Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Add chocolate chips and hot fudge: Fold in the chocolate chips if using. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Drizzle 1/4 cup of hot fudge sauce over the batter, then spread the remaining batter on top.
  • Bake: Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs (not fully dry to keep it fudgy). If the top is browning too quickly, cover it loosely with foil halfway through baking.
  • Cool and serve: Allow the brownie bread to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes, then lift it out using the parchment paper overhang. Drizzle additional hot fudge sauce on top before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a gooier texture, warm the brownie bread before serving.
  • Add a pinch of espresso powder to enhance the chocolate flavor.
  • Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a complete dessert.
