- 1 cup (60 g) mini marshmallows

Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the pudding
- In a medium bowl, whisk the chocolate pudding mix with the cold milk until smooth and thickened, about 2 minutes. Refrigerate until ready to assemble.
Step 2: Whip the cream (if not using store-bought whipped topping)
- In a chilled bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Refrigerate until needed.
Step 3: Assemble the trifle
- In a large trifle dish or individual serving glasses, layer the chocolate cake cubes to form the bottom layer.
- Spread a layer of chocolate pudding evenly over the cake.
- Add a layer of whipped cream or whipped topping.
- Sprinkle a handful of mini marshmallows over the whipped cream.
- Repeat the layers until the dish is full, ending with a final layer of whipped cream on top.
Step 4: Garnish
- Decorate the top with mini marshmallows, chocolate chips or shavings, and a drizzle of chocolate syrup if desired.
