Description

A sweet and tangy honey lemon chicken dish with juicy, pan-seared chicken breasts glazed in a flavorful citrus sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (for dredging)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley or green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then lightly dredge in flour.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Cook chicken for 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add honey, lemon juice, soy sauce, and lemon zest. Stir and bring to a simmer.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to glaze.
  7. Garnish with parsley or green onions if desired and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use chicken thighs for a juicier alternative.
  • Add a pinch of chili flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Serve with rice or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
