Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, ribeye, or tenderloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Steak Bites:
    • Season the steak cubes with salt and pepper on all sides.
  • Cook the Steak:
    • Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add the steak bites to the skillet, making sure they’re in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until they’re browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
    • Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set aside.
  • Make the Honey Garlic Sauce:
    • In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and the minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant.
    • Stir in the honey and soy sauce, bringing the sauce to a gentle simmer.
  • Combine and Serve:
    • Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the sauce until they’re fully coated and warmed through.
    • Garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the honey garlic sauce.
  • Serve these steak bites over rice, mashed potatoes, or a side of vegetables for a complete meal.
  • Substitute honey with maple syrup for a different flavor twist.
