- 1 lb sirloin steak, ribeye, or tenderloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Steak Bites:
- Season the steak cubes with salt and pepper on all sides.
- Cook the Steak:
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the steak bites to the skillet, making sure they’re in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until they’re browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
- Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Honey Garlic Sauce:
- In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and the minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Stir in the honey and soy sauce, bringing the sauce to a gentle simmer.
- Combine and Serve:
- Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the sauce until they’re fully coated and warmed through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the honey garlic sauce.
- Serve these steak bites over rice, mashed potatoes, or a side of vegetables for a complete meal.
- Substitute honey with maple syrup for a different flavor twist.
