Description

Homemade Taco Seasoning is a quick and easy spice blend that adds bold, zesty flavor to tacos, meats, and more—without preservatives or added sugars.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine all the spices and mix well.
  2. Store in an airtight container or spice jar for up to 6 months.
  3. Use about 2 tablespoons of seasoning per pound of meat or to taste.

Notes

  • Adjust the heat by increasing or decreasing the red pepper flakes.
  • Use smoked paprika for a smoky twist.
  • This recipe makes approximately 1/4 cup of seasoning.
