Description

Nakd bars are naturally sweet, chewy, and packed with wholesome ingredients like dates, nuts, and fruit. This simple no-bake recipe allows you to recreate your favorite flavors at home with minimal effort and no added sugar.

Base Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (150 g) medjool dates, pitted
  • 1 cup (120 g) raw nuts (almonds, cashews, or walnuts)
  • 1/2 cup (40 g) rolled oats (optional for added texture)

Flavor Variations (Choose One):

  1. Chocolate:
    • 2 tbsp (15 g) cocoa powder
    • 1/4 cup (30 g) dark chocolate chips (optional)
  2. Berry Delight:
    • 1/3 cup (40 g) dried cranberries or freeze-dried raspberries
    • Zest of 1 lemon
  3. Coconut:
    • 1/3 cup (30 g) shredded unsweetened coconut
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prepare the Base Mixture:

  • In a food processor, pulse the nuts until finely chopped but not turned into a powder.
  • Add the dates and pulse until the mixture becomes sticky and starts to clump together.
  • Add the oats (if using) and your chosen flavor ingredients. Process until well combined.

2. Form the Bars:

  • Transfer the mixture to a piece of parchment paper or plastic wrap. Press it into a compact rectangle, about 1/2-inch thick.
  • Wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.

3. Slice and Serve:

  • Once chilled, cut into bars or squares. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or freeze for longer storage.



Notes

  • For extra stickiness, soak the dates in warm water for 10 minutes if they’re not soft. Drain before using.
  • Mix and match flavor ingredients to create your own variations!
  • Add a pinch of salt to enhance the flavors, especially in chocolate or nut-based bars.
