- 4 cups cold water

Instructions
- In a bowl, mix sugar and hot water until sugar dissolves completely to create a simple syrup. Let cool.
- Juice the lemons and strain out seeds and excess pulp if desired.
- In a large pitcher, combine lemon juice and simple syrup.
- Add cold water and stir well. Adjust sweetness or tartness as needed.
- Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices and mint, if using.
- Refrigerate any leftovers and stir before serving again.
