Description

This homemade granola is a crunchy, wholesome blend of oats, nuts, and honey, baked until golden and perfect for breakfast or snacking.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup nuts (such as almonds, pecans, or walnuts), chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional)
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil or vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup dried fruit (such as raisins or cranberries)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine oats, chopped nuts, coconut (if using), cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a small saucepan over low heat, warm the honey and coconut oil until melted. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the liquid mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until everything is evenly coated.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool completely. Stir in dried fruit.
  8. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks.

Notes

  • Customize with your favorite nuts, seeds, or spices.
  • For clumpier granola, press the mixture down before baking and avoid stirring.
  • Add dried fruit after baking to prevent it from hardening.
