- 1 lb ground pork
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook ground pork over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add garlic, ginger, cabbage, carrots, and green onions. Cook until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let the filling cool slightly.
- Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner facing you. Add 2 tablespoons of filling near the center.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll up tightly. Seal the edge with beaten egg.
- Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C). Fry egg rolls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes each.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot with dipping sauce.
Notes
- Use pre-shredded coleslaw mix for convenience.
- You can bake or air fry egg rolls for a healthier alternative.
- Serve with sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, or hot mustard.
