Description

A zesty and tangy homemade cocktail sauce perfect for serving with shrimp, oysters, or other seafood – quick to make and full of bold flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp prepared horseradish (more or less to taste)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp hot sauce (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce (if using).
  2. Stir well until all ingredients are fully mixed.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as desired.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

  • Adjust horseradish and hot sauce to control heat level.
  • Can be made up to 3 days in advance and stored in the fridge.
  • Great for shrimp cocktail, crab cakes, or fried seafood.
