Description

This creamy and sweet Homemade Cinnamon Butter is the perfect spread for toast, pancakes, waffles, biscuits, or even roasted sweet potatoes. With just a few simple ingredients, you’ll have a versatile and indulgent condiment ready in minutes!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey (or maple syrup for a twist)
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt (optional, to enhance flavor)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, beat the softened butter with a hand mixer (or whisk) until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the powdered sugar, honey, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt (if using). Beat again until fully combined and smooth.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness or cinnamon to your liking.
  4. Transfer the cinnamon butter to an airtight container or roll it into a log using plastic wrap.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up, or serve immediately at room temperature.

Notes

  • Storage: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Bring to room temperature before serving for easy spreading.
  • Freezing: Freeze the butter in a log wrapped in plastic wrap and foil for up to 3 months. Slice off portions as needed.
  • Customizations: Add a pinch of nutmeg or a drizzle of molasses for deeper flavors.
