This Homemade Christmas Fudge is rich, creamy, and super easy to make! With a smooth chocolatey base and festive toppings, it’s the perfect sweet treat for holiday gatherings, gift-giving, or enjoying by the fire. Customize it with your favorite holiday sprinkles, nuts, or crushed candy canes for a festive touch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional Toppings:
    • Crushed candy canes
    • Festive holiday sprinkles
    • Chopped nuts (like pecans or walnuts)
    • Mini marshmallows

Instructions

  • Prepare the Pan: Line an 8×8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  • Melt the Chocolate Mixture: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Stir continuously until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
  • Pour and Spread: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  • Add Toppings: While the fudge is still warm, sprinkle the top with your chosen toppings (crushed candy canes, sprinkles, nuts, etc.), pressing them gently into the fudge.
  • Chill the Fudge: Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours, or until fully set.
  • Cut and Serve: Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into 1-inch squares and serve or package for gifts.

Notes

  • For a two-tone fudge, melt 1 1/2 cups of white chocolate chips with 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk and pour it over the chocolate layer before adding toppings.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
