Description

This easy homemade buffalo wing sauce brings the perfect balance of tangy, spicy, and buttery flavor to wings, sandwiches, dips, and more. Made with just a few pantry staples, it’s ready in minutes and beats anything from a bottle. Great for game day or any day!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)

  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar

  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.

  2. Once melted, whisk in the hot sauce, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper (if using), garlic powder, and salt.

  3. Stir until well combined and smooth. Simmer gently for 2–3 minutes, then remove from heat.

  4. Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.

Notes

  • Adjust heat level by adding more or less cayenne.

  • For a thicker sauce, simmer a bit longer or whisk in a small pinch of cornstarch slurry.

  • Tastes even better after resting for a few hours.
