Ingredients
-
1/2 cup unsalted butter
-
1/2 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
-
1 tablespoon white vinegar
-
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
-
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
-
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
-
Pinch of salt
Instructions
-
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
-
Once melted, whisk in the hot sauce, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper (if using), garlic powder, and salt.
-
Stir until well combined and smooth. Simmer gently for 2–3 minutes, then remove from heat.
-
Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
Notes
-
Adjust heat level by adding more or less cayenne.
-
For a thicker sauce, simmer a bit longer or whisk in a small pinch of cornstarch slurry.
-
Tastes even better after resting for a few hours.
