Description

Homemade Baked Pita Chips are crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned snacks made from pita bread. They’re an easy and healthier alternative to store-bought chips, ideal for dipping or snacking on their own.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pita bread rounds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika or za’atar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut each pita round into 8 triangles using a pizza cutter or knife.
  3. If desired, separate the pita layers for extra-thin chips.
  4. Place the pita triangles in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Toss to coat evenly.
  5. Sprinkle with salt and any additional seasonings you like, then toss again.
  6. Arrange the pita pieces in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crisp.
  8. Let cool completely before serving or storing in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Customize with your favorite spices like cumin, chili powder, or Italian seasoning.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
  • Perfect for serving with hummus, tzatziki, or other dips.
