For the cocktail:
- 2 oz (60ml) vodka or gin (optional for a mocktail)
- 1 oz (30ml) freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 oz (30ml) freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
- 1/2 oz (15ml) freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1/2 oz (15ml) ginger syrup (or simple syrup for a milder flavor)
- 3 oz (90ml) sparkling water or ginger ale
For garnish:
- Orange or lime slices
- Fresh cranberries
- Rosemary sprig
Instructions
- Prepare the glass:
- Fill a glass with ice. Optionally, rim the glass with sugar for extra sparkle: rub a citrus wedge around the rim and dip in sugar.
- Mix the cocktail:
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine vodka or gin (if using), orange juice, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and ginger syrup. Shake well for about 10 seconds.
- Assemble the drink:
- Strain the mixture into the prepared glass. Top with sparkling water or ginger ale for a fizzy finish.
- Garnish and serve:
- Garnish with a slice of orange or lime, a few cranberries, and a sprig of rosemary for a festive touch. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a mocktail version, skip the alcohol and use ginger ale or sparkling water as the base.
- To make homemade ginger syrup, simmer equal parts water, sugar, and sliced fresh ginger for 10 minutes. Strain and cool before use.
